Monday review- Hipp babysanft Gesichtscreme

Few weeks ago, while looking for Weleda's moisurizing face products in local Muller store, I ended next to the shelf with baby products.
My attention was attracted to the new cosmetic line (baths, shampoos and creams) from Hipp, German family company with beautiful tradition.

Little something about the company and its history:

The Hipp family has passed down their love of nature and of their craft from generation to generation. Their forebears made beeswax candles and fine honey gingerbread. At the end of the 19th century, Joseph Hipp, a confectioner in Pfaffenhofen, had an idea that was revolutionary for the time: when his wife had problems nursing their twins, he used hand crushed rusks and milk to make the first baby cereal. News of his success spread, and the yellow and black packages of J. HiPP’s Rusk Flour became an established brand, laying the foundations for the family company. As the popularity of the flour grew, son Georg sold the product from door to door in Munich, until his parents’ premises grew too small and he founded his own company in 1932.

In 1956 Georg Hipp developed a new industrial manufacturing process for baby food in jars. Gradually expanding his product range, he launched HiPP jars in 1959 as a practical, hygienic form of packaging.

An encounter with the Swiss pioneer of organic-biological agriculture, Dr. Hans Müller, inspired him to adopt ecological production methods for fruit and vegetables. The first raw materials for HiPP products were grown on ecologically farmed fields from 1956 onwards. As a first step the family farm, Ehrensberger Hof near Pfaffenhofen, was wholly converted to organic farming.

After the death of Georg Hipp his 29-year-old son Claus took over the management of the company, increasingly broadening his father’s ecological ideas.

While the organic pioneer then had to travel from farm to farm to win farmers over to his vision, HiPP today works with a network of over 6,000 contract farmers and is one of the largest processors of organically produced raw materials. Under the management of the three brothers Claus, Georg and Paulus Hipp, HiPP baby foods grew into one of Germany’s most popular brands and a symbol of entrepreneurial operations in line with ecological, economic and social sustainability. “The best from nature. The best for nature.” became the benchmark against which the growth of the family company and its product range were permanently measured.

The name of HiPP has stood for ecological agriculture and sustainable values for over 50 years. The company works closely with environmental and ecological organisations, supporting a future free from genetic engineering and playing an active role in the “Biodiversity in Good Company Initiative” to protect biodiversity.
HiPP was the first major European food producer to introduce an EMAS-based environmental management system, and continuously improves its ecobalance. Since the system was implemented in 1995, the company has succeeded in reducing its water consumption by two-thirds and its energy consumption by over one-half. 97 per cent of all waste is now recycled, and the HiPP sites in Germany, Austria and Hungary operate carbon-neutrally even though production has doubled and the company’s product range has expanded to over 260 different products.
Information taken from the site History of Hipp

Knowing this from before, I purchased baby cream for sensitive skin based on BIO- almond oil.
My expectations were high because this is a special-purpose cosmetic product made for sensitive baby skin.

And I wasn't wrong.

Creme comes in beautiful, practical package with a pump.

Bottle itself is made of plastic, with green cover lid associated with the color of almonds, which I like very much.
It's simple and practical.

On the back of the package you can read some basic information about the product. They are written in German, but there was translated declaration.

Ingredients are:

Aqua, Ethyhexyl Stearate, Glycerin, Dicaprylyl Ether, Propylheptyl Caprylate, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil, Parfum, Hydrogenated Vegetable Glycerides, Cetearyl Glucoside, Cetearyl Alcohol, Pentaerythrityl Distearate, Tocopherol, Sodium Polyacrylate, Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Hydroxide, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, p-Anisic Acid.

As I mentioned before, the bottle is very compact and creme can be dosed by pressing down the pump.
This creme is very gentle, very hydrating.
Contains BIO- almond oil which nourishes and protects the skin gently, without leaving it greasy or sticky.
Feels like it absorbs in seconds!
Which I like.
I am using it every day now, for about 2-3 weeks and my skin is very grateful and hydrated.
Before this cream, I was using Vichy Idealia (used it for 6 days) that made such a mess on my skin... I was so angry and so disappointed at the same time. Never expected such thing from brand like Vichy, but ok, things like that happen all the time. You waste money on things you can't test before because testers are the holy grail of wisdom and you can't get them if you don't collect coins for cunning, likeability and negotiation skills!
Amen!
Hipp creme helped me get rid of  all the side effects that the above mentioned one caused- redness, small pus-filled pimples (ugly, disgusting, yuck!) and very dry skin in the area around the lips.
Note: this doesn't mean Vichy is bad for your skin, just be smarter than me and ask for the bloody tester before you spend 30€ on product.

The color of this creme is slightly greenish and smells so gently on almonds.
The scent doesn't stay for too long.

I am using this amazing product as part of the daily routine. In the morning, before make up (noticed how foundation holds much longer with this creme as base), and every night, so the skin regenerate while I'm sleeping :)

It really does its job.
Price is trifle: 3€ for 50 ml of product.

I am highly recommending this to every single one of you because it's affordable, hypoallergenic, healthy product that will protect and refine your skin in a special, nourishing way.
If babies can use it, so can we, adults :)

I hope this review helped you a bit.
Winter is coming, so arm your cosmetic lockers with nothing but the best products for hydration.
You know what I'll be using ;)

Have a lovely and no stress Monday.
Love,
Misha
