Hard Candy Glamoflauge Heavy Duty Concealer review

Few months ago, while cruising down the eBay waters, not looking for anything in particular, my eyes fell in love with this thing!
I simply had to have it!
So, searching for the good reviews has begun. Few clicks later- it was in my shopping cart, and only 12 days later new member of my cosmetic family has arrived!

The original package looked exactly like this:

So, guess you figured it out by now, it's a concealer. But not just some concealer- as it's name speaks for itself, it is designed to do all the heavy duty work in heavy duty conditions that our skin can create sometimes.
As you can see, it comes in a small, transparent plastic box as liquid concealer (20 gr/.71 oz) and small concealer pen (0,65 gr/.023 oz) in the same shade.
I got mine in light 312 because it seemed to match my skin undertone which is light with pink undertone.
The formula of this concealer is very thick and provides fully and equal coverage.
Meaning- with this concealer you can hide very dark circles, scars, blemishes, acne and even tattoos!
And, after months of using it in different occasions, I am allowed to say that this is one of my Holy Grail/ First aid/all time products.

Let's see how it works!

First I'd love to show you the package of the concealer:

Big package. Not sure if I'll get to spend all of this... or when :)
Back side- I was so, so happy after reading the first sentence
Cruelty Free!!!

There was one thing that made me wonder a bit, and you can see it down below:

According to the latest surveys, it is proven as non-toxic ingredient and it's present in many make up products (foundations, primers) because it's being used as a barrier to lock moisture in the skin in a variety of moisturizers and also in hair care products to make hair shinier.
Environmental issues came up after health researching and restriction of using it in cosmetics because European Union has classified it as carcinogen.
After a lot of discussion on this topic, the European Union brought the regulatory status where petrolatum can only be used in cosmetics "if the full refining history is known and it can be shown that the substance from which it is produced is not a carcinogen'' (source here ).
I honestly hope this isn't just words on paper and that the presence of petrolatum in cosmetic products is under the strict supervision.

In the next photo you can see it's density. It's pretty thick and I'm usually using third of what is in the photo to cover possible circles under eyes, or blemishes that are pretty much visible.

Since Hard Candy promises this concealer can cover even tattoos, I have tried it using permanent marker, so let's check it out :)

Equipment ;)

And voila! :) It's doing pretty decent job here :)

Heavy duty job, if you ask me! :)

What I like about this concealer is the most important- animal cruelty free product!, then perfect, not oily, or cakey coverage and it can last for years (the package)! It's pretty good deal- only 8-10$ (can be ranked equally as good as Vichy's Dermablend that is a lot more expensive- prices vary from 23-25$).

What I like less is presence of petrolatum, then the fact that it's not for mature skin because can be pretty messy on areas with wrinkles, and definitely BIG NO for sensitive skin.

Conclusion: Quite profitable investment! A little goes a long, long way!

Tell me, have you tried it yet? Or will you try it in the future?

Love,
Misha
